The Martyrs’ Torch: The
Message of the Columbine Massacre,
(2000, Destiny Image) touched the world with Bruce’s personal experiences while helping the family of Rachel Joy Scott, a 17-year-old studentwho died at Columbine. Rachel was such an incredibly beautiful young woman, both inside and out. His eulogy at her funeral, broadcast by CNN internationally, challenged millions to “take up the torch, now fallen from Rachel’s hand.” Hundreds
of people at her funeral and thousands around the world stood to their feet when Bruce gave that challenge.
Since this tragedy, he has traveled
the world telling the story of Rachel’s courage and faith, helping listeners
rebound from calamity and teaching them how to be proactive in their
communities. Rachel's journals have inspired millions of people!
Quest for the Hero Heart is a video documentary detailing heroic stories of modern-day heroes as they cope with radical Islamic terrorism. In this gripping documentary, Bruce interviewed Israeli doctors, hospital administrators, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and survivors of terror attacks. He takes viewers right into the action in the immediate aftermath of a suicide bombing incident, and interviews the responders as they care for victims. His gripping, eyewitness stories in “Hero Hearts” not only moves viewers to tears, but inspires people to take on the attitude of a courageous responder, rather than a fearful reactor.
Video shot personally by Bruce as he served for several weeks at ground zero in New York City beginning six days after the terror attack includes interviews with firefighters and the widows of those who laid down their lives saving others. Audiences are moved to action, and to stand up and be counted
in troubled times.
Thrilling,
Motivating Stories
Dr. Porter and his wife Claudia have contributed stories to the recently released book, Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul 2.
These stories, and others like them, for the core of their messages. Audiences often stand and cheer as they hear first-hand stories of grace and character in those facing
overwhelming circumstances. No matter what the challenges, no matter how many obstacles
people face, the stories Bruce shares will inspire, encourage, and embolden
people to new vistas of accomplishment and achievement! Plan on an emotional roller-coaster, ending
with everyone on their feet as the meeting concludes on an inspired plateau of newfound optimism and encouragement!
Bruce is a modern "Renaissance man."
According to Wikapedia.com:
"When someone is called a Renaissance man today, it is meant that he does not just have broad interests or a superficial knowledge of several fields, but better that his knowledge is rather profound, and often that he also has proficiency or accomplishments in (at least some of) these fields, and in some cases even at a level comparable to the proficiency or the accomplishments of an expert."
Having studied a wide variety of subjects during his life, he is conversant in nearly any setting. These include astronomy, theology, natural science, escatology, political science, sociology, history, emergency services, advanced first-aid, aviation (holds commercial pilot with instrument rating) military history, and crisis counseling. His experiences in over forty nations, including eighteen months of military service in Vietnam, and work among people stricken by natural disasters and war have given him a unique outlook on life. When he speaks, lives are changed!
